So it looks like dA decided to spiffy up the front page for us non-subscribers. For I moment I actually thought I had gotten a subscription all of a sudden and was all, "wut...?" But I see what they're trying to do.

For a while now people have been wondering just what the subscription has to offer. Well, wonder no further, for it's right in front of you. Just explore your page edits a bit and you'll see everything that's unavailable to you without a subscription. They're even letting you try it out a bit, though not publicly. Now no one will ever have to ask just what subscriptions give you.

...But I still don't think it's worth the money. Not unless you're addicted to this place where you're here all the time. That, or you're very particular about making your page nice and pretty. The best part about a sub is, in my opinion, how you can pretty up your journals. You can put a background, pictures, thumbnails... It's nice to look at. However, if I were to ever buy a sub, I'd buy the yearly one, for $30, because it's the best deal. But, even for a whole year, a pretty journal isn't worth $30.

So yeah... Nice move on dA's part. Nice to know I'm really not missing out on much. :3
